It's a brand new day...

CHLOE IS COMING HOME TODAY!!!!

I took this picture yesterday. She kept pulling her hat down over her eyes and so now it looks like an Arabian turban. Lance and I have stayed at the hospital all weekend (sat and sun nights) for a "practice run" of bringing Chloe home. Basically, we fed her on her schedule (not the hospitals) and last night she was able to "room-in" with us. The hospital provided us a room while we were staying there and she was in with us on Sunday night. In the last couple days, they wanted to make sure that she could eat, gain weight, and keep her body temperature. All of those burn calories...hence the gaining weight factor. She was weighed last night and has gained weight so we are in the clear. Dr. Later came in to discharge and answer any questions we might have. She is supposed to see him on either wed or thurs for a weight check and follow-up, as well as get her immunizations! I'm just sitting in the hospital waiting for our prescriptions to be filled, feed her, and then we'll be on our way! YAY!!!! I never thought this day would come. We are so appreciative to the nurses (especially the nurses) and doctors at the NICU for giving us the best gift of all...a healthy baby girl. I always felt like I had someone on my side and rooting for me the whole time we were there. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for those people who dedicate their lives to helping others. They are absolute angels.
