Oh the days when we didn't have a little person to worry about. Don't get me wrong, we love our little lady VERY much. She puts joy into pretty much everything. However, we (more like me) have been dying to get away without our little lady. So we took the chance of the time-off that I got for Spring Break, the fact that we have family living in the San Francisco area, and family willing to take care of our little lady.
Lance and I got a chance to be just the two of us for a few days and we loved every minute of it. Of course, we missed Chloe terribly, but we decided that we needed these types of getaways every year to stay sane and reconnect. Did I mention that we found out we were expecting right before we left? How timely was it that we got a getaway before things start getting crazy!
Here are some of the highlights of our fantastic trip:
5:00am Wednesday morning- dropped off at Las Vegas airport arrived in San Francisco around 9:00am. We hop on the BART to go drop our stuff off at Bree's house and then begin our adventure!

| Next day, Thursday, we walk a million miles around the city. Boy was that a little dumb. We should have rented bikes or some of those motorized things, but live and learn! We walked so much that our legs/feet were killing us by the end of the day! We got to see most of the "sites" this day. Just to give you an idea of our bright idea (especially for those of you familiar with San Fran)- we took the trolley from the BART up to Fisherman's Wharf, then walked ALL the way up to the Golden Gate bridge (and then halfway across the bridge), then walked over to the Science museum/cool park, then we walked all the way up to the Painted Ladies, after which we walked down to City Center (where the library and city hall are) where we got back on the BART to go one stop over, got off the BART and back on the trolley. We got off the trolley as close to Little Italy as possible and walked over to eat at Mona Lisa's. Then we walked back to the trolley and rode over to Lombard St. (the twisty/turvy street) and proceeded to climb all the way down and then all the way back up to get back on the trolley. We took the trolley back to the BART, then the BART back to Bree's house. I think we got back to her house around 9:30/10pm. It was such a long day but very much worth it. |

| The next day, Friday, we decided to take it easy. And the fact that we were exhausted and still sore from our previous day had something to do with it. This is a cool fountain near the San Francisco port for all the ferries. We got on the ferry over to Sausalito and spent the day over there. It is such a cute town! We met up with our friends, the Lucas family, and ate dinner at a yummy Thai food place. I wish I would have gotten a picture with all of us! |

On our final day, Saturday, we went over to Berkley and spent the morning walking around, visiting the Berkley campus, going to the farmer's market, and ate lunch. We then headed back to Bree's to pick up our stuff and then jumped on the BART to get back to the airport. We got back into Vegas around 8:30 and were so happy to see our little girl! It was exhausting, but sooooo much fun and definitely a must.
